Birchbox senior editorial manager Beth has a beauty stash overflowing with fabulous products. As a beauty editor, she’s constantly testing the latest products out there, as well as returning to her classic favourites. Here’s her latest handful of star products, so you’ll know what’s worth spending your hard-earned cash on.

Editor's Picks

  • A lighter base is perfect for the muggy weather we’ve had lately and I’ve returned to a classic favourite of mine – Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturiser. I use the oil-free version, as it works best with my combination skin. There are so many reasons why it’s a make-up artist favourite and renowned in celebrity circles – it really does give that natural ‘your skin but better’ effect, contains vital SPF 20 and it’s so easy to apply. I layer it with a little Gerda Spillmann Bio-Fond Cream Foundation where I need a little more coverage and blend it all together easily with my must-have beautyblender®.
  • Ugh – my skin has been pretty breakout-prone lately, so I’ve turned to one of the newest brands in our e-shop – Yes To – for help. Our Brand Director Antony is never without the divine Yes To Cucumbers Facial Towelettes, which I pinch from him whenever I can, but the Yes To Tomatoes range seems more fitted for my skin type for regular use. I love the sweet scent of this daily clarifying cleanser and after a week of using it my skin looked much better! A job well done.
  • On one of my first ever trips to the USA as a teenager, I read that this was the cheap fix-all mask for problem skin and I came home with a tube of it. I’ve seen it in the UK in the past couple of years, but I still stock up whenever I’m in the States – like I will be this weekend (stay tuned to our Instagram…)! Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque smells as minty as its name, helps shrink pores, absorbs excess oil, beats breakouts and is a light green colour to ensure you look like a typical sitcom spa-goer. Whenever my skin gets a little out of hand I use it and it really works!
  • At 29, I’m seriously starting to notice the changes in my skin… and there’s only so much I can convince myself I look ‘wiser’. Clarins Multi-Active Day Early Wrinkle Correction Cream gets to work on the first signs of ageing from the moment you put it on in the morning, as well as neutralising the harmful effects of burning the candle at both ends, all that London pollution and UV stress. It sinks in easily under my make-up and has a lovely fresh scent – I’m a huge fan of this cream and its fabulous effects.

Stay tuned for more of my picks soon – and if you’re looking for any recommendations, don’t hesitate to ask in the comments!

– Beth
